Transcience: A Short Poem

How is it that life is so profoundly transient?

All the emotions, memories, and histories we accumulate,

As fleeting a moment as catching a bus,

Laughter, tears, boredom, and all the fuss.

Just remember to treasure all the love, the lust, and the hate,

As within our identities do they take shape.

But remember not to let the bad taint,

Because in life beauty will only be found when it’s too late.
