Loving Me

Loving me is like being a knife that cuts through the noise to get to my very core.

Loving me is knowing my true beauty within and knowing I do not need you.

Loving me is understanding that the prickles and shrubbery around me is my inner child creating obstacles of protection.

Loving me at times is not easy, it can bite back.

But when you love me and decide to be a patient warrior fighting through the thorns, you will find the purest, most loyal love.

A love that will choose you every day.

You will find a light that shines so bright, your shadows disappear.

So love me, and love me well.

But do not come close if you have no intention of protecting and worshipping the light within me.
